Luci Garza is in her second year pursuing a Journalism & Mass Communications degree at The George Washington University. Originally from Austin, Texas, she blends her southern charm and passion for storytelling to amplify local voices and highlight the stories that matter most.

Luci has been reporting since she was 14, advocating to cover issues like school segregation within her school district, the connection between mental health and local policing policies, and more.

Most recently, Luci has been working to cover various issues within Washington, D.C.’s transit system as part of a self-proclaimed transit beat. She is also currently on a broadcast journalism track with strong skills in audio and visual production.
